Празник над празницима, Васкрсење Господа и Спаса нашег Исуса Христа - ВАСКРС, свечано је прослављен у недељу 20. априла 2025 у нашој Цркви Св. Петке у Сан Маркосу. Служили су протојереј ставрофор Милан Вуковић, протојереј ставрофор Милован Катанић и ђакон Давид-Џон Вилијамс.

Приређена је Васкршња прослава после Св. Литургије у црквеној дворани. Добили смо много комплимената за храну, празничну атмосферу и уопште организацију овогодишње славе. Најпре дугујемо захвалност члановима црквеног одбора који, не само да су организовали догађај, већ су цео викенд провели радећи, почевши од припреме прасића и јагњади за печење у суботу, а затим и целе недеље током банкета. Иако је оба дана било много посла за наше вредне жене у кухињи, добили смо коментар касније од једне жене да је просто „задовољство радити у кухињи  са дивним женама. Толико је некако међу нама однос пун поштовања и љубави да верујем да је и због тога храна коју спремимо тако укусна, прелије се тај осећај и на храну.“

Христос Васкрсе!

The Feast of all feasts, the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ - PASCHA, was solemnly and festively celebrated on Sunday, April 20, 2025 at our St. Petka Church in San Marcos. Serving the Divine Liturgy Sunday morning were V. Rev. Stavrophor Milan Vukovic,  V. Rev. Stavrophor Milovan Katanic and Deacon David-John Williams.

A festive Pascha celebration was prepared in the main church hall for all the faithful following the Divine Liturgy.  We received many compliments on the food, festive atmosphere and the organization in general of this year’s celebration, to which we owe our gratitude to the members of the church board. They not only organized the event but spent the entire weekend working, beginning with preparing the pigs and lambs to be roasted on Saturday and then all Sunday during the banquet. Even though there was much work for the ladies in the kitchen on both days, one lady later emailed a comment to the parish office that it was such a pleasure to work in the kitchen with such wonderful women, in an atmosphere full of respect and love for one another and their church that, as she put it, “I believe that’s why the food was so delicious, as if that mutual love and joy spilled over into the food”.
